We also have our flagship taproom in Bengaluru, where we release one new experimental beer every week, paired with its curry-shop menu. We also offer branded merchandize across categories such as glassware, apparel and gifts, to make every day a lot more playful. Established in 2015, Bira 91 is driven by a dynamic team of over 550 passionate beer lovers and is backed by Sequoia Capital India, Sofina of Belgium and Kirin Holding of Japan.

We set out to make beer to first and foremost drink the kind we wanted to, but couldn’t find. We craved authenticity, flavors, and only the best ingredients which when they came together, led to the birth of Simba. We prefer the artistry of crafting, nurturing, and exploring over the formulaic and rehearsed. We believe in finding new flavours, tastes, people their voices and the many ways in which they roar. Our brewery is run by a small team of beer lovers, who care about quality and authenticity, much more than efficiency or scale.
