Flying Buddha Studio is a vibrant wellness and movement sanctuary located in Gaithersburg, Maryland, offering a one-of-a-kind experience that goes far beyond the traditional fitness studio. Founded in 2017 by yoga teacher and movement artist Sarah Rehman, Flying Buddha has grown from a small home studio in Potomac into a thriving community offering aerial yoga, traditional yoga, yoga wall, aerial arts (lyra and aerial dance), pole fitness, bungee fitness, Yoga Alliance accredited teacher training programs and private classes and events. Flying Buddha exists to create a space where everyone — regardless of shape, size, age, or experience level — feels welcomed, valued, and empowered to explore their potential. Our ethos revolves around inclusiveness, compassion, and support, fostering an environment where students are given permission to play, explore, and push their physical and mental boundaries with joy and freedom. Flying Buddha Studio is a Registered Yoga School (RYS) with Yoga Alliance, offering one of the most unique teacher training programs in the DMV area. Our 200-Hour YTT is the only program in the region that certifies students in three disciplines — Hatha Yoga, Aerial Yoga, and The Great Yoga Wall — in a single immersive 6-month program.
