Flow Aerospace Information

Flow Aerospace, an Ascent Aerospace company, originally developed its patented composite machining centers to enable the first application of fixtureless composite or “determinate assembly” machining. The first production composite parts were machined on a Flow machine in 1985 for skin panels on the F-117 stealth fighter. Since then, Flow Aerospace has played key roles in virtually every major aerospace composites program and provided trimming solutions for some of the largest composite structures ever made for commercial aviation. Today, Flow sells abrasive water jet heads and helps customer to maintain some 300 composite machining centers in service worldwide. Flow has combined resources with other Ascent Aerospace businesses, to provide robust customer support and total life cycle management across the globe. Service centers strategically located in Germany, Spain, Japan, and China ensure rapid response to all customers no matter how, where, or when they may be needed.
