FloSoft Systems was formed in 2001 by a group of freelance programmers who wanted to make Java developer tools for our fellow freelance programmers and to aid our personal research in operating systems. Sadlly we found there where philosophical, legal and poltical issues we had to over come to develope a business model that we thought could combine the best of open source with allowing us to work on this full time (without begging for donations). Over the course of the next 5 years we, in cooperation with a community of like minded Micro-ISV's and their user bases worked these issues out. Thus in late 2006 we where able to get back our primary goal of making the Java developer tools we needed to do our OS research and make the most useful ones avaible to people outside our little band.
