FLOC for SEND C.I.C (Company 15991495) FLOC (Freeing Loneliness, Offering Community) was founded in May 2025 by Katie Sharp and Amelia Donald to provide peer-led support for parents and carers of children with SEND across Somerset. We operate monthly community meetups in Bruton, Frome, and online, currently serving 50+ families. Our work addresses the isolation many parents experience during diagnosis waiting times and while navigating SEND systems. We operate on the principle that families need connection with people who understand their experience before they're ready for structured intervention. What we offer: - Monthly peer-led meetups - The Reframe Project: a 7-week evidence-based framework using our proprietary 7 Pillars methodology, supporting families through structured progression from acceptance to advocacy - Partnership opportunities with schools, Parent Carer Forums, and SEND services We're building sustainable peer-led infrastructure while gathering outcome data to validate our approach. Our credibility comes from lived experience combined with proven methodology - we facilitate peer-to-peer support, not expert-led services. Partnerships welcome: SEND coordinators, educational psychologists, Parent Carer Forums, local authorities, and community organizations supporting SEND families.
