Kati Patang brews true Indian beers, building culture beyond the bottle. Founded in 2018, our name comes from the Hindi phrase for a free-flying kite — untethered, expressive, and fully itself. That spirit continues to shape everything we build. From our home in Delhi to taps across India, the UK, and the US, we craft beers rooted in Indian flavour and made for a global audience. Our brews are playful, distinctive, and never made to blend in. But for us, beer has always been bigger than the bottle. We care deeply about the culture around the pour — the conversations, rituals, subcultures, creators, and communities shaping modern India. Whether through listening sessions, watch parties, collaborations, collectible drops, or our IPs like Kati Patang Quiz League, Kati Patang Experiences, and Kati Patang Trial Room, we create spaces where people can come together naturally. Over the years, our beers have been recognised at international competitions in Berlin, London, and New York. But what matters most to us is building a brand people genuinely want to gather around. We set out to make beer to first and foremost drink the kind we wanted to, but couldn’t find. We craved authenticity, flavors, and only the best ingredients which when they came together, led to the birth of Simba. We prefer the artistry of crafting, nurturing, and exploring over the formulaic and rehearsed. We believe in finding new flavours, tastes, people their voices and the many ways in which they roar. Our brewery is run by a small team of beer lovers, who care about quality and authenticity, much more than efficiency or scale. We've spent months scouting for the finest malts and hops, created experimental batches to perfect the flavor and thrown out all conventional wisdom. We hope you love our beers as much as we do.

Ours is a story 25 years and 2 continents in the making! In 1991 Arbor Brewing Company founder and head brewer Matt Greff made his first batch of homebrew and he’s been brewing up a storm ever since. In 1995 he helped pioneer the American craft beer revolution with the opening of his first brewery in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Over the next 20 years he opened a second brewery in Michigan and built a highly respected brand known for quality, innovation, integrity, and sustainability. Here in India, Gaurav Sikka was doing some pioneering of his own. After discovering American craft beer while studying at the University of Michigan, he was keen to bring that quality and passion back home. So he reached out to his favorite brand, and the rest - as they say - is history. We opened our Bangalore brewery in 2012 and have been satisfying thirsty crowds ever since. In 2018 we launched a state-of-the-art solar powered production brewery in Goa to package and distribute our iconic beers.
