Flat Spring Technology specializes in the design, manufacture, and supply of mechanical springs coiled from flat strip material. Our range of flat strip mechanical springs include; Retractor Springs, Power Springs, Constant Force Extension Springs, Constant Torque Motor Springs, & Variable Force Extension Springs. Our springs provide either a Force or Torque output, and as such have a wide range of applications across many industries; typical applications include, Counterbalancing (overhead doors, windows, tools, medical equipment & tables) Feeding (motor commutator brush, vending machines, power tool nail & staple feeds) Pushing (point of purchase 'pusher' displays, door closure) Retraction (cable reel, hose reel, crowd control barrier, HVAC damper, security tether, dog leash) Clamping (cable clamp solderless jointing systems) Power Generation (wind-up radio) Mechanical Drives (clockwork devices, timing devices, toys) We offer our customers a complimentary spring design service, and engineering design assistance for associated assemblies/components.
