Flashing Lights Media (FLM) is a deaf-led media and production company, with a unique perspective on the world. We are surprising, challenging and warm, and we pride ourselves on building strong trusted relationships. We have created award-winning programmes and documentaries for BBC4, CBeebies, Channel 4, BSLZone - bringing new compelling stories to the screen, and in the process revolutionise perceptions of deaf people, behind and in front of the camera. In fact, we are delighted to see that one of our ground-breaking productions, Magic Hands: Black History Songs, has had a mention in the BBC Diversity Commissioning Code of Practice Progress Report 2021/22 (https://www.bbc.co.uk/creativediversity/documents/bbc-diversity-code-of-practice-2021-2022.pdf) - highlighting the fact the series was directed by and presented by 2 of the most underrepresented communities. We are proud that our passion and mission to increase diversity on screen and behind camera for the Black Deaf community has been recognised. In addition to this, the very same series won an award at Kidscreen in 2022 for the Best Music category! With our bright future ahead of us, we would love to work with you to produce compelling moving content & programmes, of any kind.
