Flashback Music Memories helps recapture memories and support the mental and emotional well-being of the elderly through music. Our Vintage Entertainment and customized music and activity programs for the elderly in assisted living homes are particularly effective for those with dementia and Alzheimer’s. We provide live performances of vintage songs from the Great American Songbook (popular songs from the 1920’s-1950’s), beloved holiday songs, and Patriotic and military songs to full Big Band and orchestral accompaniment. Beyond just pure entertainment, we strive to make a difference in the lives of the elderly by engaging our audience with songs they know and love to truly bring back memories. We have solo, duo and trio options available to fit every budget. Our Mobile Activity and Music Programs for the elderly in “Board & Care” assisted living homes provide residents with a variety of music, trivia, games and exercise. We employ local musicians and activity directors to bring custom-designed programs to the house-bound elderly in our area. We give the elderly a reason to get up in the morning! Deborah Garrett, founder and principal performer, graduated Phi Beta Kappa and with honors from Smith College with a degree in Developmental Psychology. She is a classically trained singer with over 20 years professional singing experience and has always wanted to make a difference in people's lives through her music.
