flânerie brings together cognitive science, embodied ethnography, and behavioral design to share a deeper understanding of humanity as a foundation for the ethical design of ventures, interventions, products, policies, and services. We've informed and designed projects that generated measurable positive human and environmental impact with NGO, think tank, startup, growth, government, and enterprise clients in Australia, USA, Africa, Europe, Asia and Latin America. We're roaming observers, square pegs avoiding round holes, boundary-pushers, curious spirits, dog people, and friends with diverse life experiences that enjoy looking beyond the horizon of what is, to what could be. We gather around meaningful human needs, challenges, problems, and opportunities and leverage our combined skills and experience to create impactful outcomes. Recent work: • Ethnography and intervention design to underpin an user-generated urbanism initiative, aimed at improving the public realm in two US capital cities where wealth gaps and subsequent homelessness create social polarisation in community spaces • Ethnographic study investigating the influence of educational and social environments on policy comprehension, interpretation, and subsequent voting behaviour • Generative studies and venture design for two-sided regenerative agricultural marketplace • Ethnography, intervention design and experimentation to underpin venture design for a blockchain-based social news platform aimed at eradicating fake news • Evaluative studies and behavioral design for a new SaaS venture leveraging connected medical devices
