FLAME FirstCut Information

FirstCut is India's largest student-run international film festival organized by FLAME University, Pune. For the past 12 years, we have been devoted to bringing novel stories narrated by students across the world into limelight, giving young voices the global stage they truly deserve. By providing this platform for young filmmakers, we encourage them to explore film as a medium of growth and change. Last year, Take 12 received 600+ submissions from 70+ countries and a footfall of 2000+ people across 4 pre-events and 3 main festival days. This year, we want to take many steps further - create a space that provides storytellers from all backgrounds the community and support they deserve to explore all their crazy ideas. The aim is not only to make FirstCut bigger, but better and more inclusive. We want to amplify fresh voices from a new generation that has just started making its way into the mainstream, and all in all - celebrate student cinema.
