Flag Nation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in Queens, New York, in 2017. What began as a single flag football program has grown into a cross-border movement present in 5 countries, using sport to build character, leadership, and opportunity for youth in areas of social risk. Our Mission We generate social impact by empowering and supporting athletes in at-risk communities, developing life skills through education and sport. We build human beings before athletes — every program starts with character, discipline, and respect, on and off the field. How We Work — Radical Access: every program is 100% free. No fees, no barriers between youth and sport. — Cross-Border: from the Bronx to Bogotá, from Queens to Panama City, sport has no borders. We currently run 4 free sports programs: Soccer, Flag Football, Karate, and Baseball across New York, New Jersey, Miami, Colombia, Mexico, and Panama. Since 2017, our milestones include the launch of #JustBall in partnership with the US Soccer Foundation and adidas, #HomeBase at Elston Gene Howard Field with the NY Yankees, and #OneDojo, our karate program in Mexico City.
