Its potential starts where fixed foundations end, at about 50m water depth, and extends into depths of hundreds of meters. High-level environmental benefits of the TLB™ include its relatively small seabed footprint, no need for piling or jack-up vessels and a simple decommissioning process. Financial modelling of an entire offshore windfarm using the TLB™ system has determined a LCOE 30% less than other FOW designs and comparable with offshore fixed installations.
