In 2009, I launched FixSoft LLC to provide interim executive IT services to corporations with IT departments in the process of making large changes. In my 20+ years of IT experience, including 16 years of senior-level management experience, I've learned that interim IT management is the job I do best and enjoy the most. The unique challenges of managing IT departments in transition or during times of dramatic change are where my expertise and management skills find their best use. Since the launch, I have successfully managed the management of all aspects of a nationwide data consolidation project for a Fortune 50 health insurance company. Prior to 2009, I served for five years as the VP of Information Technology for Mendota Insurance Company, a large Midwestern property and casualty firm. In that capacity, I managed the transition of that company during a change of ownership, oversaw a rapid relocation of all systems, and selected outsourcing vendors. In short, this period was a major transitional period for the company and for its IT department. From 2002 through 2004, I served as a senior level IT consultant with Temp Execs Corporation, providing technical expertise to a major eCommerce website and facilitating the design and deployment of a large-scale contact management system. I also provided process re-engineering services to several medium sized businesses and implemented multiple network infrastructure rebuilds. I also served as an expert witness in litigation over data interchange standards and practices. From 2001-2002, I was the VP of Information Technology for Shepherd Systems, a Florida-based global application service provider. In that capacity, I oversaw the retirement of older operating platforms, standardized the company's software development processes, and moved the company from legacy operating systems to cost-saving Linux-based platforms.
