Five O'Clock Films is a documentary production company based in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Founded by Callie Wiser in 2014, Five O'Clock Films has produced award-winning films for AMERICAN EXPERIENCE, FRONTLINE and WGBH-PBS. As a director, writer and producer, Wiser understands the ins and outs of documentary production and offers production management services to independent filmmakers and content-producers as well as directing, writing and producing her own films. Five O'Clock Films has production managed numerous documentaries, including Flint's Deadly Water, In the Age of AI, and Kids Caught in the Crackdown. Callie Taintor Wiser is a writer, director and producer. Twice nominated for a Primetime Emmy award in the category of Exceptional Merit in Documentary Filmmaking, her passion lies in telling stories that inform our collective history through the experiences of individuals. Her films for the American Experience series on PBS include: The Amish, The Amish: Shunned, Klansville, U.S.A., Blackout, George H.W. Bush and God in America. She began her career in documentary journalism working on a number of films for FRONTLINE, including documentaries about American politics as well as Storm Over Everestan investigation of the 1996 Everest tragedy. She has worked as a Senior Editor for FRONTLINE on PBS and most recently wrote Sacred Cow for Nutrition Media.
