First Time Computers collects used computers, fixes them up, and donates them to eligible families and groups. We are a Washington DC non-profit organization exempt from federal income tax under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. We began in November 2003. The organization was founded and is run by Lowell Dodge, a former public interest attorney who loves people and computers.
