Elview Information

The Elview Company was founded in 1961 as a partnership registered in Polk County as Elview Construction Company, Incorporated, equally owned and operated by Jack Ellenberger and Albert Wiuff. Located in Ankeny, Iowa, it was originally a construction company primarily serving the needs of oil companies that were expanding their markets in Iowa. As the oil industry approached saturation of the market in Iowa, Elview continually expanded to other market segments. Eventually Elview had offices in Ankeny, Cedar Rapids, Bettendorf, Minneapolis, and Colorado Springs. During this period total sales reached $15 million. In 1978 Jack Ellenberger moved to Colorado Springs to manage that office. Shortly following, in 1982, Elview in Ankeny reincorporated as The Elview Company with Albert Wiuff as President and Bryan Wiuff as Vice President. In January of 1999, Terry Stark became the principle owner with Bryan Wiuff as President and the business was relocated to Urbandale, Iowa. In September of 2003, Bryan Wiuff and Dan Bush became the principle owners and relocated the business to its current location. Early in 2005 Dan and Bryan began Newcastle Home Builders, L.L.C. Newcastle began giving attention to the growing demand for energy efficient (green) homes. The Elview Company continues to provide quality construction services in central and western Iowa just as they have for the past 50 years. Elview has been a member of the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC) and Master Builders of Iowa (MBI) since 1961.
