Ecoimpacts | working with nature
Founded by Rob Craig MBE, Ecoimpacts is a strategic advisory practice dedicated to making sure global conservation plans actually work on the ground. We bridge the gap between high-level policy and the practical, often confusing reality of protecting nature in complex landscapes.
With over two decades of experience across Sub-Saharan Africa, Asia, and Latin America, we bring a boots-on-the-ground perspective to governments, NGOs, and donor agencies. We specialise in the high-stakes environments where the challenges of governance, conflict, and finance meet the urgent need for biodiversity conservation.
While our work is global, we remain grounded in practice through our commitment to regenerative land use and sustainable rural enterprise in the South Cotswolds, UK.
Core Advisory Areas:
⬥ Strategic Governance & Sustainable Finance: We help build the institutional frameworks, strategies and policies needed for lasting conservation impact — and support the development of laws, regulations, conservation financing and natural resource-based enterprises.
⬥ Planning & Operations: We provide specialised advisory for protected area management and multi-sectoral land-use planning, with extensive experience in collaborative management partnerships (CMPs).
⬥ Analysis & Impact: We assist in comprehensive project management, design, and monitoring & evaluation (M&E). We develop participatory systems and theory of change-based impact assessments to measure effectiveness. We move beyond checking boxes to measure real success.
⬥ Environmental Peacebuilding: We specialise in making conservation work in fragile and conflict-affected situations, integrating conflict-sensitivity and risk mitigation into every intervention.
Bridging the gap between big-picture strategy and getting things done on the ground.
