First Contact was establised in April 2002 and is a multi-award winning security provider that prides itself on providing a consistently high quality of security officers and services through effective recruitment, quality NZQA based training, experience, and a purpose-built staff management system that guarantees only correctly qualified staff are deployed into any role and they receive a tailored briefing for it. We have an entrenched training ethos that has underpinned our operations for almost two decades. Long before health and safety demanded it and before it was fashionable to do so, we identified that the nature of the security industry made it critical that all staff received effective and measurable training, as such, for over 15 years we have been a registered training workplace with the Skills Organisation. Every security officer we engage is trained to a minimum Level 3, National Certificate in Security. We provide specialist training programs in conflict management, negotiation skills, and managing critical situations, one of our courses was used to develop an NZQA qualification. All training (except for First Aid, we use a company for this) is delivered in-house using our own certified assessors. This is a standard matched by few others. The benefits speak for themselves with minimal staff injuries in almost two decades and a high customer satisfaction status with a number of clients retaining our services for well over a decade. First Contact is a licensed security company with the Ministry of Justice and maintains a membership with ASIS International and the New Zealand Security Association (NZSA). Our services include corporate, event, and licensed premises security, mobile patrol services, alarm, and CCTV installation and monitoring, access control, training, and risk/threat analysis. We have extensive experience in planning and delivering security to high-risk individuals and events.
