FireMic turns a spoken account of a fire call into a filed NERIS incident report. A firefighter talks through the call the way they would tell it at the kitchen table; FireMic transcribes it, fills in the structured report (incident types, timestamps, units, actions, both narratives), and shows every field for review and correction. Nothing is filed until a human has read it and tapped the button. Reports go to NERIS through the official federal API. NERIS replaced NFIRS as the US federal fire incident reporting standard on February 1, 2026. Most US fire departments are volunteer or combination, and the report is usually written after the shift, at home, on someone's own time. That is the problem FireMic exists to remove. FireMic works alongside the records system a department already runs. It does one job: the report. Free NERIS references, no account needed, at fire-mic.com/tools: a searchable incident type lookup, a plain-language field reference, and an NFIRS to NERIS explainer. Built by a working firefighter and an engineer. Try it in the browser with no account at fire-mic.com.
