FireFly has participated in the site development project to upgrade a major carrier's network to 3G+ wireless throughout Ontario. Acting as a Project Manager, a key role included supporting the contractors and suppliers in their daily activities. These responsibilities included strategic planning, contractor / supplier coordination, technical support / planning and overseeing the facilitation of the contractors' schedule. FireFly has also supported the wireless development in northern Ontario native communities as Project Manager, providing a full range of support, including development of scopes of work, permit applications and acquisition, coordinating contractors, and material and antenna system deployment, contractor coordination and liaison between owner and contractors. FireFly has provided Project Management services for the installation of a MET tower. Services included coordination of activities of consultants, contractors, municipality and government agencies for the configuration, design, supply and installation of a lattice tower to support anemometers, wind vanes, sensors and related equipment. An as-built package was compiled using information received from consultants and contractors. FireFly worked extensively with a wind consultant to develop a custom solution for this installation. FireFly has provided site audits, site acquisition and has acted as a client's representative for a major wireless internet carrier. FireFly provided an overview of potential sites, first point of contact between the property owner and client, lease negotiations and follow-up support. FireFly also provided support for municipal and other government agencies in permit submission and acquisition.
