FireFighting.com is a new media product built on the foundations of a Web site that pioneered a thriving online community for fire, rescue and EMS personnel long before the Gold Rush to the Web. We honor those roots ... improve on them. Emergency services personnel today get their information from a wide variety of sources-on-site training and distance learning, trade magazines, conferences, books, videos, CD-ROMs, by networking with each other and-more so every day--by using the Internet. As we reshaped this popular Web site, we worked to create a vehicle at which all these resources and media could converge. You'll find an electronic magazine here updated daily with fresh news, opinion and feature stories by leading thinkers in the world of fire, rescue and emergency services. We feature an online multimedia theater where we screen training videos and where you can tune into a firefighter-hosted radio show (The Firefighters Worldwide Radio Network) and other live Webcasts from major site-based events. In our Learning Center, you'll learn about conferences and training events around the world, but you'll also have the opportunity to participate in classes right here through our Distance Learning center. Through Live Chat, you'll have opportunities to socialize with emergency personnel around the globe, but you'll also be invited to meet with speakers and experts in moderated Live Chat.
