Perfect Game is devoted to furthering the development and career of the talented amateur baseball player. To that end, Perfect Game produces the very highest national-level individual player showcases and team tournaments all over the United States and creates innovative apparel and headwear to enable peak-level performances on field. PG events have proved invaluable to the college coaching community and major league baseball as they can scout a large population of talented ball players all in one location, supported by industry-leading data capture at each game. The PG Database is the largest of its kind anywhere in baseball. At any given time there will be nearly 300,000 high school players being followed via the database per year. PG Staff members are located throughout the country. Perfect Game employs close to 200 full-time people and another 150 part-timers, most of whom have either vast baseball experience or a wealth of expertise in their respective fields. Perfect Game is proud to have the largest scouting department in all of baseball.

Since 1978 USA Baseball has been the national governing body (NGB) for the sport of baseball. It represents the sport in the United States as a member of the U.S. Olympic Committee (USOC) and internationally as a member federation of the International Baseball Federation (IBAF). Nearly every major national amateur baseball organization in America is united as a USA Baseball National Member Organization. As a result, USA Baseball governs more than 12 million amateur players in ballparks and playgrounds across the country. As the commissioner's office for amateur baseball, USA Baseball is a resource center for its various membership groups, fans, and players. USA Baseball is also responsible for promoting and developing the game of baseball on the grassroots level, both nationally and internationally.

The AAU was founded in 1888 to establish standards and uniformity in amateur sports. During its early years, the AAU served as a leader in international sport, representing the U.S. in the international sports federations. The AAU worked closely with the Olympic movement to prepare athletes for the Olympic games. After the Amateur Sports Act of 1978, the AAU has focused its efforts into providing sports programs for all participants of all ages beginning at the grass roots level. The philosophy of "Sports for All, Forever," is now shared by more than 720,000 members and 150,000 volunteers across 45 sports programs and 55 U.S. districts.
