Fire District 3 Information

We continue to improve our emergency response capabilities. We provide fire suppression and Advanced and Basic Life Support response throughout the 80+ square miles we are responsible for. We also provide mutual aid and automatic aid to our neighboring jurisdictions. Beginning in 2011 Fire District 3 began using SUV vehicles for emergency medical response. Currently we have Rescue 31 at the Hockinson Fire Station and Rescue 35 at the Battle Ground Station. At our more rural stations (Battle Ground Lake, Venersborg, Rawson Road) we use Squads to respond to medical calls and small fires. Squads are F-450 crew cab flat bed trucks, with a water tank and pump. The Rescues and Squads are equipped with Advanced Life Support supplies. Two to four personnel respond to medical emergencies instead of taking the fire engine. The smaller vehicles have proven to be less expensive to operate and quicker to arrive at medical emergencies. These vehicles allow us to save wear and tear on the much more expensive fire engines, extending their service life. We appreciate your continued support.
