Fin-Tex Chicago (short for Financial Technology Exchange) is a collaboration between leading players in financial services and technology to expand Chicago’s role as a center of innovation. While Chicago has a long history in financial services innovation, the city is viewed as being on the periphery with New York, London, and Silicon Valley. Even companies in Chicago tend to look elsewhere for potential partners and collaborators, not realizing what’s happening next door. Fin-TEx Chicago fosters the development of a business cluster focused on FinTech and FinServ in Chicago. Participating companies of all sizes take advantage of the power of adjacency, increase productivity and innovate. Our objectives are to: • Promote collaboration and business between companies in the region • Stimulate innovation and new company creation • Retain local talent, especially from universities, and attract others to the region • Attract outside investment and business partners
