FINCA Peru is a microfinance institution that was founded as a civil association in 1993. As of December 2008, FINCA Peru serves 12,276 clients (93% women) among its three branches in Lima, Ayacucho and Huancavelica under the village banking methodology with a loan portfolio of US$ 2.9 million. At that time, the outreach to the rural areas of Huancavelica and Ayacucho reached the number of 3,200 female clients (almost 25% of the total number of clients). Vision We are an organization that facilitates access to material and intangible resources with the objective to improve the development of the capacities of excluded women and their families, resulting in sustainable communities.
