As of December 2008, FINCA Peru serves 12,276 clients (93% women) among its three branches in Lima, Ayacucho and Huancavelica under the village banking methodology with a loan portfolio of US$ 2.9 million. At that time, the outreach to the rural areas of Huancavelica and Ayacucho reached the number of 3,200 female clients (almost 25% of the total number of clients).
