FINCA Malawi Information

FINCA Malawi Limited is a subsidiary of the FINCA Impact Finance Network, a group of 20 microfinance and financial institutions. It is regulated by the Reserve Bank of Malawi to provide socially responsible financial services and empower low-income entrepreneurs and earners to attain better living standards. It started its operations in Malawi 1994. To date, with its head office in Blantyre, FINCA Malawi Limited is now operating in 23 branches countrywide and a growing Agency network servicing both rural and urban entrepreneurs with financial needs. Initially FINCA started as a microfinance institution offering loans in groups and later combined with individual loans products after registering successful performance with the later. In 2015 FINCA acquired a deposit taking license which has transformed FINCA into the first Deposit Taking Microfinance Institution (DTMFI) in Malawi, enabling the organisation offer loans plus savings products. FINCA’s focus over the past years has been on helping low income individuals and communities invest in their future anchored on its mission to fight poverty through providing lasting and life changing financial solutions
