FinanceplusUSA is WPP’s internal Financial Shared Service organization, providing transactional back-office financial services to WPP companies in the US. FinanceplusUSA is part of a larger, global WPP initiative to create regional and strategic Shared Services Centers around the world. The first Financeplus started in the UK in 2011. We now have established centers in Australia, India, Malaysia, Spain, the UK and the USA, and have recently started in both Venezuela and Mexico. Our objective is to cover all of WPP’s major markets. We currently support the WPP companies Burson-Marsteller, Cohn & Wolfe, Hill+Knowlton, and their subsidiaries. Financeplus supports a range of processes including: General Accounting Accounts Payable Accounts Receivable Banking and Treasury Credit Control Client Accounting and Invoicing Financial and Statutory Reporting By consolidating activities under one roof, Financeplus takes advantage of volume to deliver increased efficiency. Operating in this fashion allows us to keep pace with the market and provide our clients with higher levels of service. This approach also ensures standardization of and compliance with WPP SOX and Internal Audit requirements. Shared Services Centers can leverage scale and capabilities across WPP companies to help reduce operating costs, collaborate and provide best practices and implement automation and system enhancements for improved efficiencies.
