FINA Information

FINA is the international governing body of swimming, diving, water polo, artistic swimming, open water swimming and high diving. The objectives of FINA are: - to promote and encourage the development of Swimming in all possible manifestations throughout the world, - to provide drug free sport, - to promote and encourage the development of international relations, - to adopt necessary uniform rules and regulations to hold competitions in Swimming, Open Water Swimming, Diving, Water Polo, Artistic Swimming, and Masters, - to organise World Championships and other FINA competitions, - to increase the number of facilities for Swimming throughout the world, and - to carry out such other activities as may be desirable to promote the sport.
