Rodale Institute is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit growing the organic movement through rigorous, solutions-based research, farmer training, and consumer education. Through organic leadership, we improve the health and well-being of people and the planet.

Our Mission Green America harnesses economic power—the strength of consumers, businesses and the marketplace—to create a socially just and environmentally sustainable society. We provide the economic strategies, resources and organizing power to make lasting, systemic change on a range of critical issues faced today, including renewable energy, climate change, fair trade and labor, safe food, and responsible banking. Our Vision We work for a world where all people have enough, where all communities are healthy and safe, and where the bounty of the Earth is preserved for all the generations to come. Our Four Powerful Strategies: - Empowering individuals to make purchasing and investing choices that promote social justice and environmental sustainability; - Demanding an end to corporate irresponsibility through collective economic action; - Promoting green and fair trade business principles while building the market for businesses adhering to these principles; - Building sustainable communities in the US and abroad.

The Global Ecovillage Network (GEN) is an international network of sustainable communities and initiatives on every inhabitable continent. GEN serves as umbrella organization for ecovillages, intentional communities, transition towns and ecologically-minded, community-driven individuals worldwide. People and communities meet and share their ideas, exchange technologies, develop cultural and educational exchanges, directories and newsletters, and are dedicated to restoring the land and living a cooperative sustainable lifestyle. Network members include large networks like Sarvodaya (2,000 active sustainable villages in Sri Lanka); the Federation of Damanhur in Italy and Nimbin in Australia; small rural ecovillages like Gaia Asociación in Argentina and Huehuecoyotl, Mexico; urban rejuvenation projects like Los Angeles EcoVillage and Christiania in Copenhagen; permaculture design sites such as Crystal Waters, Australia, Cochabamba, Bolivia and Barus, Brazil; and educational centres such as Findhorn in Scotland, Centre for Alternative Technology in Wales, Earthlands in Massachusetts, and many more.
