Built by Field is a Calgary-based design and technology studio helping organizations make sense of change and turn it into useful digital experiences. We design and build websites, brand identities, interactive maps, platforms, dashboards, and annual reports—particularly for cultural and civic institutions, foundations, nonprofits, and organizations where information is central to the experience. We combine strategy, brand, user experience, and technology to make complex information clearer, more useful, and easier to manage. We treat structure as design: information architecture, content models, and editorial workflows receive the same care as type, interaction, and interface. Our work is designed to last beyond launch—supporting teams as content evolves, audiences change, and new needs emerge. When a project calls for additional expertise, we collaborate with trusted partners in writing, photography, animation, and more. Based in Calgary, we work with thoughtful organizations building better ways to inform, connect, and serve their communities.
