Fiditas is IECEx Certification Body for Ex equipment and EU Notified Body No. 2829 for certification of products against requirements of 2014/34/EU (ATEX), 2014/28/EU (civil explosives), 2013/29/EU (pyrotechnic articles). Our professional heritage is connected to 1949 when first testing laboratory and certification body for Ex equipment called "S-Komisija" was established in Croatia (at that time it was for the whole territory of former Yugoslavia). Fiditas also operates state of the art testing laboratory for determination of explosive characteristics of dusts, fibres and fluids, including specific tests for hybrid combustible mixtures containing solid particles (powders) and gasses/vapours. Our senior experts also provide explosion risk assessments for end users and training of personnel operating in hazardous locations or others interested in Ex topics, including manufacturers, repairers, installers, designers, etc. Fiditas senior experts provide full technical support in preparation of Hazardous Area Report (Zoning) in compliance with IEC 60079-10-1 and IEC 60079-10-2. Furthermore, we provide verification of installations' compliance against IEC 60079-14 and conduct IEC 60079-17 inspections, extended to include non-electrical equipment and assemblies, in accordance with applicable ISO/IEC/EN standards and IECEx Rules.
