Fidgens is a boutique project and cost consultancy focused exclusively on office relocations and workplace projects. We represent occupiers and our role is clear: help organisations make the right commercial decisions early, then ensure the project delivers exactly what was approved. Too many office projects are set up on weak foundations. A space is selected, a high level £ per square foot budget is signed off, and the business becomes committed to a number that has never been properly tested. By the time consultants and contractors are appointed, the room to manoeuvre has gone. The team ends up managing compromises instead of delivering a clear plan. We exist to prevent that. We typically work with Facilities Managers, Heads of Workplace and Real Estate leaders at the very start when they have been tasked with planning a relocation or major refurbishment. They need a defensible project budget before going to leadership for approval. Our 'Budget Clarity Framework' is designed to build a robust, decision ready project budget before major commitments are made. We break the project down into its real cost drivers at a granular level. The result is not just a headline figure. It is a clear commercial position that leadership can approve with confidence because the assumptions are understood and the risks are visible. This significantly reduces late redesign, reactive value engineering and commercial tension during delivery.
