Fibercill is committed to playing its part to ensure a safer, cleaner, healthier and sustainable environment. We work closely with our suppliers and customers, as well as having developed an excellent working partnership with our Local Authority, with an open door policy to its officers. Our care for the environment affects our decision making process when we purchase plant and machinery as well as the way that we dispose of waste. We have a 6megawatt wood burning facility and the capacity to store and dispose of 200 tonnes of waste every week. This facility has evolved over the last twenty years and now only the latest technology is used. This includes "oxygen trimming" which allows the plant to run at its most efficient, whilst maintaining low emissions. Strict maintenance and monitoring programmes enable us to meet all Government and local environmental regulations and since early 2009, 95% of our machined waste is used to supply the animal bedding industry. Our carbon footprint has been significantly reduced along with our energy consumption and we will continue to have a pro-active approach to recycling. Our reputation for high quality products is well known - that reputation has been built upon strong work ethics and the setting of high standards - and this applies just as much to our care for the environment as to our products - if it can be done, Fibercill will do it.
