About 15 years ago, I got the itch to build an FFR Roadster. I even contacted Factory Five Racing and found someone in the area who was building one, Wade Chamberlain. He invited me over and took me for a quick ride around the neighborhood while I was sitting on the aluminum floor - it was amazing and I was hooked! Unfortunately, my checkbook didn't allow me to pull the trigger for several years. In 2006 I wrote the big check and started my build. I found FFmetal.com on the forum and contacted Linwood. I quickly wrote another check for everything he sold then, which made my build so much better. Linwood and I have maintained a friendship and a mutual attraction to great cars, including our Cobras and his beautiful red Vette. Toward the end of 2016, Linwood called and asked if I'd like to take over FFmetal.com. Wow, what an honor! Of course I would. I plan on carrying on with the tradition of providing great products at reasonable prices and great service. Like many of you, I have loved cars my entire life. Some of my favorites are 69 Camaros, 63 through 67 Corvettes, 65, 66, 69 and 70 Mustangs, GT 40s and of course COBRAS! I do all the work on my cars myself, except the paint. I especially enjoy building motors and wiring. As I was building my Factory Five Roadster I changed and fabricated many things. The shop that I made many of the modified aluminum panels in is owned by a friend I have known since first grade. The parts I thought other people would like are now manufactured by his shop and sold here. The specialty of this shop is building mil spec metal boxes for electronic equipment. The parts I sell on this website are manufactured to those same standards. I like to talk about cars so dont hesitate to call if you have any questions or suggestions. I hope you like what you find here at ffmetal.com. Dont forget to check out my car in the My Roadster section.
