FFConf is a one-day, single-track web conference in Brighton, run independently by Remy and Julie since 2009. On Friday 13 November 2026 we return to the Duke of York's Picturehouse for eight talks from people who still care about the web and the people who use it. With one track, everyone sees every talk and leaves with the same conversations to pick up over coffee, lunch and ice cream. The talks are meant to be experienced, not bookmarked: less about the tool of the month, more about how we build, who we build for, and why. This year's speakers: Cennydd Bowles asks whose utopia the web became, and how we fight for alternatives. Lena Reinhard looks for answers to "now what?" after layoffs and AI hype. Hidde de Vries shows how to make the web greener with the W3C's Web Sustainability Guidelines. Helen Brockelbank builds a canvas game that keyboard and voice control users can play. Cyd Stumpel on adding motion and enhancements without making sites harder to use. Niels Leenheer rebuilds DOOM in CSS – playable, multiplayer and nearly browser-breaking. Deeksha Bhushan shares lessons on users and systems from two years supervising a chicken restaurant. One more speaker to be announced. Every talk is live captioned, sponsored by Tetralogical, and our inclusion scholarship offers free places to people from under-represented groups in tech. The day runs 9am to 6pm, followed by an evening social. Tickets are £249 + VAT at 2026.ffconf.org. For team bookings or sponsorship, email events@leftlogic.com.
