Assembly Festival set the standard for theatre, comedy and entertainment and are one of the largest multi-venue operators on the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. We present high calibre work in temporary theatre spaces across the city ranging from lecture theatres and churches to tents and shipping containers.

The Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society was founded by artists to nurture and uphold the Fringe's values of inclusivity, experimentation and imagination. We exist to support, encourage and inspire artists from all backgrounds, provide information and assistance to audiences, and promote the Fringe and what it stands for all over the world. Every year, the international arts community comes together for the Fringe to perform, share ideas and make connections. It is the world’s foremost performing arts market where careers are made, and new and innovative work discovered. Fringe audiences are encouraged to take risks and try something new. The Fringe is a place to discover hidden gems, new genres, unusual spaces and the next big thing. The Fringe was one of the 20th century’s greatest innovations, a precursor to social media in providing a platform for anyone who wanted their voice to be heard. The Fringe continues to grow and evolve, embracing new technologies, audiences and ideas.

Underbelly is a UK-based live entertainment company that specialises in producing and programming ground-breaking theatrical productions and the creation of city-centre cultural events and festivals. Founded in 2000 at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe by Ed Bartlam and Charlie Wood, the company has since gone on to produce shows and events in locations from theatres to roundabouts from London to Asia. Current Underbelly productions include the seven times Olivier award-winning production of Cabaret in London’s West End, for which they are the lead co-producer (with ATG Productions), Macbeth with Ralph Fiennes and Indira Varma, McOnie Company's Nutcraker and the trailblazing cabaret show La Clique. Underbelly is one of the leading venue producers at Edinburgh Festival Fringe, every year presenting 150+ shows per day across 21 venues for the four weeks of the festival.
