Established in 2007 by local Canberra man, Gary Cheeseman, FERST has been training government, corporate and community organisations to keep their workplaces safe, comply with industry standards and save lives in the event of an emergency. We specialise in establishing and training an emergency response team in your workplace. We design site-specific training packages individualised to your own workplace and workforce, while meeting Australian Industry Standards. All of our trainers have front-line emergency response experience with backgrounds in the military, fire and other response services. FERST trainers are fully accredited, exceed the Australian Standard requirements and are members of Fire Protection Australia. We keep abreast of new legislation and update and refresh our training techniques and materials to capture the latest developments. Our specialist training includes modules for Emergency Management Teams, Chief Wardens, Deputy Chief Wardens, Communications Officers, Floor & Area Wardens and General Staff training. We also offer Hostile Intruder training, Building Evacuation and Fire Extinguisher Use, all in accordance with the Australian Standards. We produce mandatory emergency evacuation diagrams, emergency response manuals, signage and other response tools for your corporation.
