Fermosa is a Belgian drinks company exploring a new generation of beverages built around the fermentation of pomegranate. Why pomegranate? Its natural acidity, rich polyphenol content and distinctive tannin structure provide an exceptional foundation for creating drinks with depth, dryness, structure and complexity. Through fermentation, we develop these natural characteristics into sophisticated beverages with little or no alcohol — complemented by carefully selected botanicals to create additional layers of aroma, bitterness and character. Rather than imitating existing alcoholic drinks, Fermosa starts from a different perspective: what becomes possible when pomegranate fermentation itself becomes the foundation of the drink? The result is a new approach to adult beverages, with fermentation of pomegranate at its core.
