Ferguson Development Group provides an array of services that help organizations to plan and implement fund raising and marketing campaigns. The firm is one of only 30 nationwide selected for membership in the elite American Association of Fund Raising Counsel (AAFRC). The AAFRC is highly selective Association of fund raising firms and recruits its members from among the thousands of firms that operate as fund raising consultants. AAFRC members have proven that they maintain highest levels of customer satisfaction and standards for ethical conduct. The AAFRC each year publishes "Giving USA" which is often referred to as the annual report on American Philanthropy. FDG provides services in fund raising and development specializing in campaigns, planning studies, leadership development and major gifts. George T. Ferguson, CFRE, founded the firm in 1993, after a successful career as a development executive with three nationally recognized organizations. Mr. Ferguson has been in the development field for 27 years. FDG has provided consulting assistance to a broad array of diverse organizations including those in education, health care, museums, social services, disabilities, the arts, community development, Olympic sports, youth, and religion. In addition to the firm's AAFRCmembership, Mr. Ferguson is a member of the organization's Board of Directors and its public service committee. He served for many years on the Board of Long Island's National Society of Fund Raising Executives (LINSFRE), where he served as Chair of the organization's Strategic Planning Committee and Professional Education Committees. In 1997, he was Chairman of Philanthropy Day on Long Island, a one-day conference which celebrates the important contributions of Philanthropy to American life. Executive fund raising positions held have included Assistant Vice President for Operations, United Way of Tri-State, Director of Development, Boys & Girls Clubs of America, and Director of University Development, Adelphi University. Mr. Ferguson earned a M.B.A. degree in Finance from Adelphi University and a B.S. in Finance from Fordham University. He has been a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) since 1983.
