(Taking the experience I had gained rowing at school and for Great Britain, I set about coaching the University men's squad, following a slipped disk during GB trials which ended my career. This was a great chance to use my recent experience of high level achievement to inspire and bring results to a boat club with limited resource or precedent. It was hugely exciting and a real challenge. The highlights: Training camp at the Swiss National venue & medals at National Championships for my crews.)

By the time I had completed my A-Levels, I had been a member of the most successful crew in the country for over 150 years, and had represented Great Britain on 3 separate occasions across Europe.)
