About: FECCEG empowers small landholder coffee farmers -1414 men & 529 women - in Guatemala’s Highlands. Our programs support gender equality, sustainable development, and organizational strengthening. Mission: Contribute to the sustainable development of small specialty coffee grower organizations in Guatemala by providing comprehensive services and strengthening fair trade participation. Description: The Guatemalan Specialty Coffee Trade Alliance (Federación Comercializadora de Café Especial de Guatemala - FECCEG) is a non-governmental organization. As a second-level cooperative, we aggregate 14 smaller coffee grower cooperatives. Our members are all small landholder coffee farmer including 1414 men and 529 women growers. Our partners live in Guatemala’s Highlands including Chimaltenango, Huehuetenango, Quiche, Sololá, San Marcos, and Quetzaltenango. This is a land known for its majestic mountain ranges, dotted with volcanoes, and rich soil that produce high quality specialty coffee with unique characteristics.
