Febtro Inc Information

Febtro Inc. was born in late 2004, the brain child of brothers Nawsad and Azad Jiwa. The story begins much earlier than that though. In 1980, with only a suitcase and $1000, Nawsad Jiwa became the first of 3 brothers to immigrate to Canada. After working at a number of Engineering firms Nawsad was forced to start a company because his employer at the time would only pay him as a contractor. The Febtro name was christened on November 22, 1983, as Febtro Holdings Ltd. For more than 20 years Febtro Holdings was a Husband and Wife company, with Nawsad's wife, Yasmeen, looking over many aspects of the business, from accounting and office management, to sales and marketing. Yasmeen eventually left to form her own company, Febtro Management, which invests and manages commercial real estate in the Edmonton area. During the 1990s Nawsad's brothers, Zahir and Azad, immigrated to Canada. Both brothers worked with Febtro for a time. Zahir left the company to pursue opportunities elsewhere. Azad took a short break to get his Masters degree in Australia. Eventually Azad returned home and started Industrial Controls Inc. Both ICI and Febtro Holdings worked closely until in 2004 the companies combined their business and gave birth to Febtro Inc! Since 1983 Febtro has grown from a 1 man outfit to a company that is now home to over 20 employees and contractors. The Febtro name is a legend in the Instrumentation and Controls world, and is synonymous with Quality, Excellence, and Customer Service. 20 years can do a lot to people and companies alike. Many stories have become legends, many people have become leaders. But through it all Febtro has been a solid pillar of support, for it's customers, it's employees and the community.
