FC Argeș is the first professional football club in the history of Romania. Winning two championships in 1972 and 1979, we were one of the fewest teams that trully opposed to the communist regim and the departamental football teams of that time. Three-time Romanian Footballer of the Year winner Nicolae Dobrin was part of the squad during that period, which turned him into a symbol of the club over the years, with the current stadium taking his name. Right now we play in the Romanian 1st league (a.k.a. Superliga). We try to give everything and always get back up after falling. Every year we cement our reputation as a historical Romanian football club, willing to gain again our international renown.
