The Fat Disorders Resource Society, Inc., is a 501(c)(3) dedicated to improving the quality of life for all people affected by adipose tissue disorders by supporting research, education, advocacy and collaboration. Mission The Fat Disorders Research Society, Inc., is a 501(c)(3) dedicated to improving the quality of life for all people affected by adipose tissue disorders through research, education, advocacy and collaboration. FDRS is bringing patients, doctors, therapists and others together for research, education and advocacy of Dercum's Disease (DD), Lipedema/Lipoedema, Familial Multiple Lipomatosis (FML), and Madelung's Disease (MSL). These 4 subcutaneous adipose tissue (SAT) disorders have features in common with each other. The diseases are under-recognized and not well understood. We'd like to change that.
