FastHero (2017–2020) FastHero was a mobile platform designed to make intermittent fasting sustainable - by turning it into a game. We helped users collect fasted hours, complete daily missions, and build long-term wellness through science-based habit loops and motivational design. Founded in 2017, FastHero combined behavioral psychology, performance strategy, and gamified UX to help users overcome plateaus, stay consistent, and feel empowered by their progress. Our mission was simple: make fasting feel like momentum - not restriction. FastHero's technology was acquired in 2020, but its impact lives on. The behavioral frameworks we developed - around habit-building, motivation, and engagement - continue to influence other ventures, including the behavior-first cybersecurity training approach pioneered at HardTarget. FastHero was based in the U.S., with a globally distributed team, including designers and engineers in Oslo, London, and Italy - a collaboration that shaped the product’s clean aesthetic and performance-focused UX.
