Tall Pines Properties, Inc. develops and builds homes and cabins primarily in, but not limited to Snowbird Lake, Forestport, New York. Snowbird is a gated, family friendly community about 25 miles south of Old Forge, New York, at the southern foothills of the Adirondack Mountains. Utica and the New York State Thruway are about 25 miles south. Day trips include Lake Placid, Tupper Lake, Thousand Islands, the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, Canada, Blue Mountain, Lake George and many others. Lot sizes are between two and five acres and each parcel is a unique piece of land personally planned and developed by the company's founder and president Howard Gleasman, Jr. Roads in Snowbird are private. Each cabin/home is priced with the land, development, drilled well, septic and cabin. Prices are very competitive. Cabins are created in the Adirondack Mountain traditional rustic style but include modern amenities that you would come to expect in modern living. Most of our places are complete homes away from home. Many of our clients choose to have high speed internet service and satellite television. All cabins are built with spacious windows to view the pines, hardwood trees and the abundant deer population. Each is trimmed with lots of knotty pine and have a thick hand-crafted breakfast bar. Two story cabins feature hand peeled cedar spindles on the stairways and thick pine steps. The exterior is finished for low maintenance and includes thick rustic pine siding. Winding driveways with large boulder entrances are built wherever possible. Cabins and homes are built for the needs and requirements of the clients. Several styles are available in one or two stories and can be varied from two bedrooms and one bath to five bedrooms and 2.5 baths. Structures can be built on frost walls or full basements.
