FarmYields Information

FarmYields is a digital platform enabling local food systems to function more effectively by connecting growers, buyers, and partners through coordinated, transparent trade. We work with smallholder farmers, cooperatives, food enterprises, and institutional buyers to improve how food moves within local economies making supply more visible, demand more predictable, and transactions more reliable. FarmYields supports a wide range of participants, including chefs, restaurants, hotels, food processors, community organisations, and households seeking access to fresh, seasonal, and responsibly sourced produce. On the supply side, we work with farmers and grower groups to strengthen their ability to plan, coordinate, and sell with greater consistency. The platform is designed to operate as a lightweight infrastructure layer improving coordination across fragmented food systems while maintaining flexibility for local contexts. By enabling more structured participation, FarmYields contributes to stronger local economies, reduced inefficiencies, and more resilient food supply networks. Our approach focuses on practical implementation and real-world conditions. Current work includes pilot environments where we test how local supply and demand can align more consistently over time. FarmYields is part of a broader ecosystem focused on strengthening food systems through participation, coordination, and long-term system development.
