Farmed Carbon turns the worlds most wasted resource into products that clean the air and lock carbon away. Every year rice plants pull about a billion tonnes of CO2 out of the atmosphere and turn it into straw. Then the straw is burned or left to rot, and nearly all of that carbon goes straight back into the sky, along with the smoke that chokes Thailand each burning season and the methane that rots out of flooded paddies. Rice straw is the least-used farm waste on Earth. We think it is the biggest carbon-capture machine in the country. We collect the straw before it burns and heat it without oxygen, powered by solar and grid electricity rather than by burning our own output. The straw becomes biochar, oil and gas, and every one of those becomes a product that replaces a dirtier one: Carb-Loc, a cement-free geopolymer building block made carbon neutral by the biochar aggregate inside it, replacing blocks from one of the world's biggest CO2 sources. Carbon black from rice straw instead of from oil furnaces, storing carbon that came from the air and avoiding two to three tonnes of CO2 per tonne made. Phenols and ethyl acetate that displace petroleum chemicals. Each tonne of straw we process keeps roughly 1.5 to 2 tonnes of CO2e out of the atmosphere and about 10 kg of PM2.5 out of people's lungs. Thailand produces 30 million tonnes of rice waste a year; the world produces a billion. Used this way, that is 50 million tonnes of CO2e a year for Thailand and close to 2 billion for the world, about a tenth of what humanity adds to the atmosphere each year. No single company can do that alone. Our job is to build the first plants, prove the model, and show that catching what the rice plant already captured is one of the largest climate levers there is, and one that makes the air cleaner this season, right here. Farmed Carbon. Catch it. Keep it.
