"This hip new nightspot is owned by a trio of professional surfers, and has the benefit of being one of the largest and best laid out venues in town, with a variety of spaces that lend themselves to different decors and atmospheres, including a downstairs lounge, a front patio, a game room, a patio lounge in the back, and a spacious upstairs area that showcases live music and a signature bar dedicated to local liquors like tequila, mezcal, and pulque. The lower lounge area is a fusion of traditional and contemporary styles, with colonial accetns, distressed leather couches, and a DJ playing Cuban and Brazilian rhythms. Upstairs, the atmosphere is much wilder, with live rock and roll from some surprisingly big names. Co-owner Warren Metcalfe is still active in surfing, and has a lot of big-name friends that show up from time to time.
